Chateau Guiraud

Located 40 minutes from Bordeaux, in the heart of Sauternes, Château Guiraud, the first of the 1st Great Growth in 1855 to receive Organic Farming certification (2011), has been welcoming visitors in search of great wines and nature for over 30 years.As soon as the visitors arrive through the ancient Gallo-Roman road bordered by 181 plane trees, they can enjoy the breathtaking view of the 128 hectares of the wine estate. From avid enthusiasts to neophytes including also budding gardeners, everyone is invited to discover the pioneering approach of the Château, which places biodiversity at the center of its reflections and its action. A country walks in the vineyards, an introduction to permaculture in the vegetable garden, a visit to the cellars, the tasting of the estate’s wines: the Château’s team is attentive to its hosts to shape a tour that will certainly resemble them.
